It’s been over a month since Outlander Kitchen announced our latest giveaway, and I’m excited to say that it’s time to announce the winners! But first, let’s see a few of the wonderful entries that were sent in from all over the world…
Aaron graced us with this beautiful picture of Claire’s Nettle Kissed Buns. It’s still nettle season in the Northern Hemisphere at the moment, so grab some gloves and a pair of scissors and get foraging!
It looks like Angela had her hands full keeping the kids away from her Banoffee Pie. And who can blame them? That looks incredible!
Darcy stepped out of her comfort zone to try something new, and made a batch of Brianna’s Bridies. Crimping pastry can be a bit tricky, but it looks like Darcy caught on quickly!
Donna sent in a perfectly medium rare Roast Beef for a Wedding Feast. Actually, I wish she had sent in the roast…but the picture will have to do. Anyone else have a craving for a nice big beef sandwich with lots of horseradish?
Jenny threw the dice gambled on her yummy picture of Crockpot Chicken Fricassee.
Joanna found a real keeper when she tried Jenny’s Onion Tart. I’m told everyone loved it!
Both Kate and Claire sent their pics of Baja Fish Tacos from DOA. Kate made some fish and some prawn…I’ll take one of each.
Claire went all out and even made her own tortillas! If you’ve never made them yourself, you should try them on a day when you have a bit of extra time. You won’t believe the difference between your homemade and store bought.
Krista made a batch of Jenny’s Everyday Bread. And while there’s nothing like a slice of homemade bread still warm from the oven, I have to say I’m also coveting her hard copy of Outlander. Love that cover!
Liz cooked up a big batch of Gypsy Stew to keep her and her hubby warm through the winter. Comfort food at it’s best!
It wouldn’t be Outlander Kitchen without at least one picture of whisky – Twyla’s batch of Cherry Bounce is looking good!
And now for the winners!
First up is Emily, who won the random draw for her very drool-worthy picture of Mrs. Bug’s Cinnamon Toast. Emily takes my recipe a step farther, and puts the buttered toast under the broiler for a minute…to get everything melty and crunchy. Love it! I’m going to try that tomorrow morning.
Congratulations, Emily! You’ve won a signed copy of the 20th Anniversary Edition of Outlander. Please email your address to me at outlanderkitchen (at) shaw.ca, and I’ll send it out ASAP.
And the winner of the most creative/original/photogenic award is Séverine, who sent this pic of her Christmas Gingerbread Warriors…I swear I can hear them shouting “Tulach Ard!”
Congratulations! You’ve won a DG-signed spurtle and an OK notebook. Please email your address to me at outlanderkitchen (at) shaw.ca, and I’ll send it out ASAP.
Thank you to everyone who entered. I loved every single picture I received, and am sae happy to be a part of the wonderful world of Outlander.
